Sportsmanship is lacking in equestrian sports these days. Everyone wants to

Staying Humble IN and OUT of the Arena
There have been comments on my posts on Facebook regarding how I’m always smiling coming out of the arena. I will tell you that it hasn’t always been like that…I’m competitive but have learned the following:

Arena Etiquette
One of my biggest pet peeves is people riding every different direction in the warmup pen. Several wonderful ladies for Tri-County Riders joined us to help teach the kids all about the gymkhana events. We were about to ride 5 events and had so much fun! I cannot wait to do it again and to attend the gymkhana shows. Each of my girls did an awesome job and learned so much that

Getting Ready for Boarders
July and August have been busy months for us at LoneStar Riding Academy, home to SL Barrel Horses. As you know, in May we met with the owner of Corral’s R Us to discuss a design for the next phase of our build. Heidi and I met with Daniel and hashed out what are first 9-stall shedrow would look like. We had an idea in our heads and Daniel was able to put it to paper for us.
