I wanted to introduce you to my good barrel horse Rocket. We have been together since 2006 and have had many ups and downs over the last 8 years. When I purchased Rocket he was the horse of a young girl that had blown his mind. He couldn't see a barrel pattern without breaking into a terrible sweat and jigging around the arena. The first time I saddled him after I bought him it took me quite awhile to get him cinched up, bridled and mounted. He jigged around the entire arena without actually going through the gate and had no "whoa".

Dreaming of 3 & Brenna

Dreaming of 3 is an organization that is close to my heart. It was started by an amazing lady named Jackie; she wanted to pay tribute to her father and stepfather who both passed away from cancer and heart disease. As a team member of DO3, I have committed to donating 10% of all my barrel racing winnings to The American Cancer Society in honor of my best friend.

Finding Our Facility

  Hi all! SL Barrel Horses currently doesn’t have a permanent location. We are training/giving lessons out of a barn that is not ours, but made the decision when a client/friend approached me about purchasing a facility so that I would have a place to board/train/give lessons and not have to drive. We picked a facility that is perfect for us and now we are waiting out the process of purchasing the property and getting our business up and running. Chasing Dreams

Hey everyone! Our goal at SL Barrel Horses is helping you chase your dreams. I just had one of the most amazing barrel IMG_1733racing weekends in a really long time. August 2nd and 3rd was the ACBRA finals in Salinas, California. This was the 3rd for me and Rocket running at finals and it was the best finals weekend we have had as a team. Not only was the ground fast, but we had our own personal bests in that arena.
