SL Barrel Horses’ 1st Gymkhana Clinic 10/28/17

On Saturday October 28th, we hosted our first gymkhana clinic at the barn with the help of some amazing ladies from the Tri-County Riders gymkhana club. We had 3 students and 2 outside riders join us in the learning opportunity of a life time. Several wonderful ladies for Tri-County Riders joined us to help teach the kids all about the gymkhana events. We were about to ride 5 events and had so much fun! Building my Confidence on a New Horse

One of my biggest challenges of 2017 has been building the relationship in the saddle with a new horse. SL Barrel Horses–Our 1st Official Lesson at LoneStar Riding Academy

The Friday before Christmas, SL Barrel Horses had our first official lesson at LoneStar Riding Academy. We had two teen girls that came to us as a birthday surprise for Lexi and her best friend Katie. Both girl have a riding back ground but little to no experience in a western saddle. Lexi has a reining horse, but usually rides him English and Katie has jumpers and rides cross county events.
